Matt Smith is a Certified Professional Trainer specializing in Obedience Training, Behavior Modification and Puppy Consulting. Matt is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers as well as the National K9 Dog Trainers Association. Matt received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in Communication and Psychology.

Being a “dog lover” all his life and wanting to help others fully enjoy a positive and healthy bond with their best friend, Matt decided to pursue a formal education in dog training. After researching the top professional dog training schools in the nation he decided to attend the renowned National K9 Learning Center’s School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio. Matt graduated from their Master Trainer Course in 2008.

Matt firmly believes the foundation of enjoying a quality relationship with your dog is built through communication; with the cornerstone being obedience training. Paired with structure these are the first steps used to open those channels and get the owner and dog working together.
