We’ll help you welcome your new puppy the right way! Puppies need to be exposed to the ‘bells & whistles’ of daily life as well as being properly socialized with other humans and familiar dogs. Puppies need structure, boundaries and a safe environment to grow up in. This invaluable session will also cover the basics of crate training, feeding and housebreaking. You’ll get lots of practical advice for shaping behavior and setting the foundation for future obedience training. The appropriate age range for this is eight to sixteen weeks; remember that puppies are always learning so it is best to set a good foundation right away!
You and your dog can enjoy an even better relationship with basic obedience. A lack of communication and understanding is the primary cause of problems in the human-canine experience. Basic obedience opens the lines of communication and builds a strong and positive foundation to build upon for the lifetime of your best friend. We make training fun for both you and your dog so it’s something you look forward to doing every day!
First we’ll determine what the problem or problems are. Then we’ll develop a plan and get to work changing those behaviors. Often, it’s simply a matter of the human making small adjustments in how they interact with the dog. Other times the behaviors are more severe and may take several sessions to achieve lasting results.
